I have recommended Carraway Construction to other people for two simple reasons. First, they do what they say they are going to do, which is rare in the construction world, and second, they operate as your partner, with your bottom line in mind. If there is a better or more economical way to accomplish your goal, they will apprise you of it, despite what the plans may say.
Carraway Construction has been wonderful to work with. I was impressed by the timing and adherence to the proposed schedule and budget. We were moving to a new building and had a very tight schedule for completion. Kirk stayed in contact with the subcontractors and with me and we were able to address issues as they came up and as soon as we found out about them. This allowed us to complete the project within budget and before the scheduled deadline. In construction, there are always regulatory agencies with which we must contend. These agencies never have the sense of urgency that the customer experiences. Kirk was able to navigate the paperwork and get the proper documents without my having to intervene. I felt as if my time was very valuable to Kirk and he took care of a lot of headaches.
As with many developers, we never have enough money in the budget to do what our creative architects draw; therefore, the process of “value engineering” becomes a critical part of the reason that we like to work with Carraway Construction. They understand the value of a dollar and how to squeeze the most value out of it!
Carraway Construction has the unique ability to act creatively and be flexible on a project to meet everyone’s goals. They added value by being a resource to help bridge the gap between the Landlord and Tenant to make sure that both parties are satisfied.
Personalized service that goes above and beyond what is typically required or provided. Carraway Construction is particularly exceptional at value engineering projects and has the owners' best interest in mind. We have used Carraway Construction for at least twelve years on projects ranging from $10,000 - $250,000. Carraway Construction gives the same attention to detail in cost savings and quality control whether the job is big or small.
Our first experience with the Carraway family construction business came through working with Stirling Properties who served as the property managers for a new Goodwill leased store of about 15,000 square feet in a developing trade area in east Metro Jackson, MS. Carraway Construction was at the table to help us at the beginning with all of our partners and throughout the project. Our experience has been excellent. We are continuing to call on Kirk and his associates for other assistance to help us improve our properties. We value long term, trusted relationships. Carraway and associates believes in our mission of assisting people with disabilities and other barriers to work to gain employment.
They were instrumental in assessing the project on the front end and making very important recommendations that resulted in significant cost savings. As the projects proceeded, they stayed on top of construction costs to provide the best quality for the money spent. The level of cooperation and communication was excellent from the start of the project to final completion. I am proud of each completed project. The quality of Carraway’s work was beyond what was expected. At the end of each project, my opinion and admiration of Carraway only increased. Carraway Construction has my highest degree of respect and admiration.
Carraway Construction led a very conscientious team and were appropriately organized from start to finish. Kirk was very knowledgeable about building processes and happy to offer up cost saving alternatives when the option was available. I would be glad to work with Carraway Construction on future projects and would recommend them without hesitation.
